Born and brought up in the South Wales valleys, Matt Jones has a degree in ceramics from University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC) and established Ave A Go in 2006.

Through his studies, he truly began to find and express himself through the material, using a wide range of techniques, including throwing, casting in plaster, and hand building.

The company now offers a wide range of ceramics services including workshops and taster sessions, a retail range of pottery plus bespoke ceramics commissions for special occasions.

Workshops and classes can be tailored to in house needs, and Matt has built up a portfolio of clients in the public, charity/not for profit and corporate sectors.

Educated in the medium of welsh until the age of sixteen, Matt is a fluent Welsh speaker.

As Ave A Go grows, Matt intends to expand the "Ave A Go" brand to include other creative strands including drama, painting, dance and make up artistry workshops for by partnering with other local providers.
